Hearing Accessories
After you’ve determined which hearing aids are best for you, it’s time to select the best hearing aid accessories and batteries to complement and help maintain them.
Hearing aids require routine maintenance because they are designed to be worn on a daily basis. Some of the accessories required to care for and maintain your hearing aid may be provided by your hearing care provider as part of the purchase of your hearing aids. Others may be required to be purchased separately and are entirely optional.
Hearing aid batteries can be purchased in four different sizes. These are the smallest to largest: 10, 312, 13, and 675. Your hearing aids will be powered by one of these batteries, and your hearing care provider will usually provide a small number of batteries to get you started. Batteries use a standardized colour coding system to help you get the right type of battery.
